Bob Long –
Junk the flag part broke the second piece of wood. Right at dowel holes. So much for the wife’s Christmas present waste of money.
Alan –
Template is so thin that it easily snaps at the narrow points around the dowel holes. Had to order a second one just to finish the project I’m right in the middle of.
Lee Bradshaw –
Love this template. Very unique and was shipped very fast.
I modified it for a smaller board (so I made my own star. Also used colors that are in the flag(maple, From Babinga and maple and I used unicorn spit gel for the star.)
Not sure why the first 2 posts said it wasn’t good or worth it because it is.
Thank you.
The template worked great. Thank you

First two reviews were wrong. I absoletely loved this design, the template arrived in great shape, very study, and thick enough to survive the damages to the box that would have broken flimsy material.
The only thing is I would place a warning on the template its more for advanced woodworkers. Might be why the first two reviews were bad. Beginners will have issues going against the cross grain on the wave, that transition from the cross grain can cause kick back. It happened to me and I nicked the template on my last piece of the strap. That is on me, I got to relaxed on the cross grain. Try to get the wood trimmed as close to the template as possible before routing.
I would advise to route out the star of the union once its attached to the flag, this will keep your hands and fingers away from the dangerous router bit, without having to clamp or create a jig to hold the union down.
Over all I would rate the design and durability of the Template 5 stars.
